Whilst the global CBD market is estimated at 12.64 billion dollars in 2026, according to GlobeNewsWire figures, the professional agenda of the sector has never been so busy. Trade shows and events follow one another across the world.
Yet this July is an exception. No major CBD or cannabis event is scheduled this month in Europe. A summer break that all industry players have come to expect, though they will hardly be idle this summer.

July 2026, a month with no CBD event in Europe
This quiet period comes as no real surprise. Every professional sector experiences a slowdown over the summer, and the CBD industry is no exception.
Teams are on holiday, budgets are frozen, and event organisers, whether for professional gatherings or public-facing occasions, prefer to wait until everyone is back and operational before launching new events.
For the hemp sector, this logic is even more pronounced. Major trade shows are organised around two annual peaks, namely spring (March to June) and autumn (October to November).
What this means for CBD professionals and consumers
The absence of professional CBD events in July does not really signify much. It is rather an opportunity to step back, plan event budgets for the end of 2026 and for 2027, and review the shows that have already taken place, such as Cannafest or Spannabis Bilbao.
It is also the right moment to refine a strategy, design new visuals and display materials, optimise upcoming stand layouts, and sharpen messaging on the basis of any legislative developments that may have been passed or announced in recent weeks.
CBD and cannabis events in summer 2026 not to be missed
Here are the main CBD and cannabis events taking place in summer 2026.
Mary Jane Berlin
The standout event of summer 2026 is Mary Jane Berlin, although it technically takes place one week before the official start of the summer season. More than 75,000 visitors are expected, alongside 500 international exhibitors at Messe Berlin.
The format is unique, with the event opening exclusively to hemp industry professionals on 11 June in a B2B capacity. The following three days, 12, 13 and 14 June, are open to the general public.
On site, new product launches are typically announced. Scientific conferences also take place alongside regulatory debates. For brands looking to launch or test their positioning on the European market, this is the most important event of the season.
European Hemp Conference Poznań
Less public-facing but equally strategic for professionals, the 23rd edition of the European Hemp Conference takes place from 10 to 12 June 2026 in Poznań, Poland. This major event is organised under the auspices of the EIHA (European Industrial Hemp Association).
This flagship congress is aimed at players across the industrial hemp sector in the broadest sense, bringing together farmers, processors, researchers, legal experts and investors.
Every topic is covered. CBD itself, but also hemp-based food production, textile manufacturing, biosourced construction materials and much more. It is an opportunity for CBD specialists to explore diversification and anchor their strategy within a long-term vision of hemp in Europe.
Canna Fair in Meerbusch
From 21 to 23 August 2026, the Areal Böhler in Meerbusch, in the Düsseldorf region, plays host to Canna Fair. In just a few editions, this event has become the unmissable gathering for hemp and CBD professionals in western Germany.
Its hybrid format, combining a professional trade show, specialist exhibitors, conferences and a festival atmosphere, makes it accessible to both industry professionals and consumers alike.
The atmosphere is relaxed, encouraging informal exchanges and networking. For brands, it is an opportunity to reach a new audience, forge new partnerships, and raise their profile among new consumers.
The full CBD agenda for 2026 and upcoming autumn events
July marks a pause, but by autumn 2026, everything picks up again. Two major events are on the calendar, and we will have the opportunity to cover them in greater detail in due course.
The first is Cultiva Hanfexpo, taking place from 2 to 4 October 2026 at the Marx Halle in Vienna, Austria, with more than 120 exhibitors expected in a format that combines a professional exhibition, a congress and a cultural dimension.
A few weeks later, Cannafest Prague takes over the PVA Expo Praha from 6 to 8 November. This show is one of the most significant on European soil. We will return to it in more detail, revealing what goes on behind the scenes, particularly as it is quite possible that we will be attending once again.
